Ms. Purdy Parsimonias is a comedic look at life on the Rez during the Christmas season. Ms. Purdy Parsimonias is a scrooge-like band manager who catches the attention of the Spirits of theFour Directions. The Spirits take Purdy on a journey through the lives of the people she has affected. The consequences of Ms. Purdy’s choices and actions are revealed to her as the events of the story unfold creating a humorous and moving look at life on the Rez at Christmas time. Great fun for all ages!

Upcoming Event:Prairie Debut: Farhad Khosravi & Daniel Stadnicki

The earliest version of the santur dates back to as far as Babylonian stone carvings (669 B.C.) Now, Prairie Debut audiences have the opportunity to hear the evocative sound of this ancient Persian instrument performed in contemporary style that traverses time. The long resonating tones of Farhad Khosravi’s santur weave naturally with the earthy sounds of Daniel Stadnicki’s percussion, creating a seamless musical journey. Their second collaborative album, Mosàfer, was released in August 2020 to critical acclaim. Farhad and Daniel have performed in multiple venues and festivals in Edmonton including Royal Alberta Museum, Winspear Centre, Alberta Culture Days, Mile Zero Dance, and the Yardbird Suite.

The Snowed In Comedy Tour has turned into a Canadian success story, celebrating its fourteenth year. It has now grown to become the biggest comedy tour in Canada. Playing in 70 cities this year, coast to coast. In a market still dominated by American acts, with American TV credits, a small Canadian comedy tour has managed to succeed. Like the Tragically Hip they have done it by touring and making more and more people laugh, year after year. The tour has now performed in Australia, The US, France, and Switzerland. The tour has received numerous standing ovations. Four international comedians come together to create one amazing show with each bringing a unique and hilarious take providing something for everyone. Just for Laughs winner Dan Quinn is joined by the Great Canadian Laugh Off winner, Paul Myrehaug and 6 time Canadian Comedian of the year nominee Pete Zedlacher. Upcoming Event:Poltava Ukrainian Dance

The Association of United Ukrainian Canadians, Poltava Ensemble of Song, Music and Dance is a 50-member Ukrainian Ensemble based in Regina, Saskatchewan. The Poltava Ensemble’s roots in Saskatchewan’s cultural scene began in 1922 with the formation of a children’s string orchestra and since that time the Ensemble has grown to include dancers, singers and musicians. The Poltava Dancers, directed by Lisa Wanner, is a male and female adult ensemble whose dancers have a high level of technical training in Ukrainian dance, ballet and folk dance. The Poltava Orchestra, under the direction of Vlad Tsymbal, brings to life the rich heritage of Ukrainian folk music, whether it accompanies the dancers or is featured as a performing entity unto itself.

Upcoming Event:The Bromantics

Formed in the summer of 2013, The Bromantics are a Saskatchewan six piece that perform a sensational tribute to the 50s. They also perform original music following similar chord progressions, while working within the parameters of the genre. In making use of warm brass instruments in combination with vintage guitar tones, and accompanying them alongside doo-wop style harmonies, The Bromantics are reviving the era with a youthful energy. They have recorded live sessions through Blue Door Studios, and in collaboration with Nyshe Media have released several videos that encompass exactly how they look and sound live. They are now in the process of recording a debut EP to be hopefully released in 2022. The Bromantics have been performing consistently since they formed and are only gaining more notice. The contagious genre of music, combined with their high energy stage performances has proved successful in creating a nostalgic atmosphere that also promises to have everybody twisting the night away!
